Job: Wine sales to Liquor Stores, Hotels, Restaurants, Bars, and Seasonal Locations.
Additionally: Administration, Customer Service, and Public Relations

A part-time, Winery Sales Representative is being recruited for a family-run vineyard/winery in the Thousand Islands region of NY. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and be able to use their own initiative to perform all administration, customer service, and public relations job responsibilities relating to winery sales at Wholesale Accounts within St. Lawrence, Franklin, Clinton, Essex, and Hamilton Counties.
The ideal candidate has excellent customer service skills, prior sales/management experience, and the ability to work independently under pressure to meet deadlines.
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
o Complete company wholesale training course and demonstrate full knowledge of winery products
o Promotes/sells/secures orders from existing and prospective customers.
o Provide administrative reports to the Wholesale Manager.
o Coordinate details and logistics with Wholesale Manager.
o Conduct physical inventories as required.
o Provide sales feedback as needed to improve sales and to meet/exceed sales goals
o Research and develop new markets and wholesale accounts to meet or exceed sales goals
o Provide back up support for offsite markets and festivals
Prior experience, qualifications and/or skills:
o Applicant must be 21 years of age or older
o Prior customer service experience is required
o Must be able to pass a drug screening and lift up to 38 pounds
o Must possess a valid driver's license and own transportation
o Experience and desire to work with customers--consumer hospitality
o Experience with daily sales reporting/receipt recording
o Experience with inventory management and recording
o Ability to operate standard office equipment, including personal computers
o Working knowledge of Microsoft word processing (Word) and spreadsheet (Excel) o Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills (including excellent telephone and internet communication skills)
o Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
o Strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions
o Cash handling and sales experience preferred
o Basic math skills required
o Desire to increase knowledge about wine and the wine industry
o Team player with enthusiastic and positive outlook
o Weekend and evening availability required

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
