Assistant Engineer (Civil/Transportation)
The incumbent of this position will function as the Assistant Regional Bridge Maintenance Engineer. Duties include, but are not limited to:
o Crew Project Coordinator o Supervision of Region 7 Bridge Maintenance Crews o Purchasing and Procurement o Facilities Management of Region 7 Bridge Maintenance facilities o Equipment coordination for Region 7 o Safety and training of Region 7 Bridge Maintenance o Assist in engineered repairs and field inspect structural repairs o Coordinate flag response and tracking o Accident Damage Recovery documentation o Direct potentially sensitive environmental controls of sites o Develop of long-range bridge strategies o Develop recommendations to Region 7's Capital Program o Assist in Capital Project development o Coordinate activities between Bridge crews and Capital work o Develop maintenance projects and monitor field progress o Assist with Maintenance project specifications

From $67897 to $86140 Annually
Minimum Qualification
To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
